"RED DAWN" is a movie that has a lot of controversy because at the time the movie was made, America was fighting in the cold war against Russia which at the time was the soviet union and now people are saying that the movie is discriminating against the Russians and Cubans but in my perspective I disagree with the point that people are trying to make today. I disagree because if you think about it they were trying to portray Russia and Cuba like that not because of the war but because of the type of government, Russia is a communist country and Cuba was run by a dictator. I'm not going to just talk about that boring stuff though I will actually start talking about the movie which is very good by the way it has some famous people in it like Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell, and Charlie Sheen who were the three main characters Jed, Robert, and Matt. So in this movie Russia and cuba invade America the movie takes place in a city in Colorado where three highschoolers and one late teen to early twenty year old who escape the invasion into the woods but first pick up supplies from the family gas station. Staying out of trouble for a couple of months they end up having to kill some russians because they were caught. after that they started trying to free people which works but doesnt work at the same time because the people were freed from death but not from the Russians. They started calling themselves the wolverines after they took out a group of the enemy they would spray paint wolverines on the side of an enemy tank.
Then everything went wrong one of the wolverines betrayed the rest and got killed. Then while they were eating they got attacked and Roburt got killed. Just so they could go out with a bang matt and jed went and attacked the enemys headquarters where they both died but not without taking out the base and inspiring others around America to fight back.
